PAHO, the regional arm of the Americas for the World Health Organization, is looking for a full time intern or volunteer in our Medicines and Health Technologies Unit (HSS/MT). The HSS/MT unit provides technical cooperation to Member States towards increased access to medicines, vaccines, and other health technologies and strengthened governance capacity and regulation.
Project overview: In September 2014, the Health Ministers of the Caribbean nations authorized the establishment of a Caribbean Regulatory System (CRS), which would work to harmonize regulatory activities such as registration of medicines and pharmacovigilance in 24 Caribbean states. PAHO, alongside key stakeholders, CARICOM and CARPHA, is proceeding to implement the CRS project.
