SUMMARY/ABSTRACT: To identify correlates of severe acute maternal morbidity (SAMM) in Kabul, Afghanistan. Planned home delivery and referral to multiple facilities or by providers are factors associated with SAMM that are potentially amenable to intervention in Afghanistan.
