Each summer the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis Young Scientists Summer Program (Austria) hosts about 50 advanced PhD students whose interests correspond with IIASA’s ongoing research on real life global issues such as climate change, energy, food & water, economics, and poverty.

Dates of the 2014 Program:1 June – 31 August
Application Deadline: 13 January 2014
Funding:available for travel and living support

Since 1977 over 1700 participants from 85 countries have participated in the program; their stay not only had a great impact on their future scientific careers but also connected them with new friends from all over the world.
