This will be an opportunity for students and community members to assemble in a concentrated forum and discuss the current Ebola outbreak. We will have a brief overview of the facts about the virus, some historical context to the current outbreak, as well as current updates. After which we will transition into presentations regarding current R&D for vaccines and treatments as well as the work being done by non-profit organizations such as Partners In Health, Last Mile Health, and Wellbody Alliance in West Africa. We will then have an open discussion forum for individuals to talk about the crisis and bring up any questions they have. This forum will be facilitated by 3 guest faculty belonging to the UC Berkeley School of Public Health and School of Journalism:

Our hope, with this event, is to break some of the myths that exist due to the media and to ensure that everyone remains well educated and up-to-date regarding the current Ebola pandemic and its global implications.
